成人影片 University Health and Wellness and the College of Nursing and Public Health Master of Public Health program have joined forces to offer an event-filled agenda for 2024 National Public Health Week, running from Monday, April 1, through Friday, April 5.
The Health and Wellness Social on April 1 at 12:00 noon and three virtual webinars will be the main attractions of 成人影片’s Celebration of National Public Health Week. The webinars will feature K.C. Rondello, MD, College of Nursing and Public Health clinical associate professor, and his timely update, 鈥淣ow What? The Future of COVID, Post-Pandemic,鈥� as well as two outside public health experts鈥擧arlem J. Gunness, PhD, former director of the public health program at St. John鈥檚 University and a senior officer at the U.S. Public Health Service stationed at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and nurse scholar Deborah Stamps, EdD, founder and CEO of Deborah Stamps Consulting LLC.
Throughout the pandemic, Dr. Rondello offered information and advice on the virus, variants and vaccines to the 成人影片 community via Zoom webinars and also via media appearances for the wider community. This is his first post-pandemic Zoom session.
Also virtually, Dr. Gunness will speak on April 2 about 鈥淔ood Insecurity: Experiences from a Large Multimillion-Dollar Food Distribution Center.鈥� Dr. Stamps, also virtually, will discuss 鈥淏uilding Bridges to Health Equity: Unpacking the Impact of Social Determinants鈥� on April 3 as the latest in the new College of Nursing and Public Health Dean鈥檚 Distinguished Lecture Series, which was begun in 2022.
Besides the opening-day Health and Wellness Social in the Ruth S. Harley University Center, the numerous on-campus events will include a Master of Public Health (MPH) alumni gathering April 3, an MPH Student Town Hall April 4 and the American Cancer Society Relay for Life fundraiser as the week鈥檚 finale event on April 5.
An MPH alumni gathering will be virtual on April 3, while the MPH town hall will be a hybrid event.
