Just in time for the upcoming presidential election, 鈥淎merican Ideas in Full Color鈥 is now open to visitors on the First Floor Gallery of the Swirbul Library. This exhibition focuses on the importance of voting, and showcase different historical political memorabilia dating back to the 1910s.

Miguel Velasquez 鈥23, MA 鈥24, a bilingual history major who was 成人影片鈥檚 2021 Newman Civic Fellowship winner, has already secured a teaching position鈥攊n the same school where he held his 成人影片 internship.
Undergraduate research fellow and history major Thea Crouch spent her summer uncovering the history of Garden City and learned that the Cathedral of the Incarnation sold land to 成人影片 for its campus.
At 成人影片, research is highly valued for undergrads as well as graduate students. This summer, six undergraduates are making new discoveries鈥攊nside and out of the lab.
Four history majors鈥擜nisa Sinclair 鈥22, sophomore Joseph D鈥橝ndrea, junior Anujot Kaur and junior Beth Ceriello鈥攇ained valuable experience through their summer internships, including at Fintech in Action, the Cradle of Aviation Museum, Connecticut's Mystic Seaport Museum and an elementary school.

Minor in History
The history minor introduces you to the diversity of the human experience while developing your skills in writing, critical thinking and moral judgment. By studying different cultures throughout history, you will expand your understanding of what it is to be human.
Scholar Teacher Education Program (STEP)
Students in this program are also eligible to enter STEP, which allows you to earn a master鈥檚 degree and prepare for teacher certification with one additional year, saving you time and tuition costs.
Exceptional Hands-On Learning
As a history major student, you鈥檒l have numerous opportunities to learn and connect outside the classroom. You can be an active participant in the Student History Society, which plans several trips and on-campus events throughout the year. History majors also have the opportunity to attend and present at regional and national conferences.
